​QUICK AND EASY SMOOTHIE RECIPIE         

Combine 8 oz. keifer, 4 oz. almond or coconut milk, 1 banana, 1 cup strawberries (frozen or fresh) in  blender  and blend.  Makes about two servings. 


Step it up: add any or all of the following: handful of blueberries, handful of frozen or fresh kale or greens, spoonful of ground flax seeds, or nut butter.


The keifer provides an abundance of probiotics, which promotes a healthy digestive tract and gut microbiome while the bananas offer prebiotics, which feed the beneficial bacteria.


Add in a few of the additional ingredients, and you have a well rounded meal or treat full of protein, fiber, and healthy fat that benefits your microbiome with no added sugar!


My favorite variation is to add a spoonful of ground flax seeds, about a cup of frozen organic kale, and a handful or two of blueberries.  Kids love it too!
